Hardparse and the OCR evidence

Hardparse is a sister product from the CodeSOTA team. Product links on this site are separate from independent benchmark evidence.

The former review assigned an upstream PaddleOCR-VL score to PaddleOCR-VL-1.5 and compared it with approximate vendor scores without a common evaluation. Those claims, the pricing comparison and the unverified API example have been withdrawn. No reproduced Hardparse application benchmark is published on this page.

What an app benchmark would need

A model score describes a particular checkpoint, benchmark version and evaluation protocol. Quantization, page rendering, preprocessing, prompts, layout models and runtime settings can change application output. An upstream result does not establish the quality or speed of a Mac or hosted deployment.

A defensible product comparison needs the exact app release, input hashes, ground truth, output files, hardware, settings, timing method and failure counts. Test text, reading order, tables and formulas separately. Compare prices for the same supported workload and include retries and review.
